Catholic Bishop Thomas Daly of Spokane, Washington just recently questioned how Christians can vote for Democrat governmental candidate Joe Biden who openly supports the “intrinsic evil” of abortion.
In a debate amongst U.S. Catholic bishops about voting top priorities, Daly criticized San Diego Bishop Robert McElroy for minimizing the value of choosing pro-life prospects, according to the National Catholic Press Reporter.
“But if abortion is fundamentally wicked, which Bishop McElroy confesses to, how can Catholics elect a prospect like Biden?” Daly asked in an interview with the National Catholic Register.
Biden claims to be a devout Catholic, but he supports abortions without restriction and wishes to force taxpayers to pay for them. He and his vice presidential running mate, Kamala Harris, are being referred to as the most pro-abortion presidential ticket in history. If elected, their policies might lead to an increase in abortions in the U.S.
. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has been prompting voters to make coming children’ lives a “preeminent priority” when they vote, however some church leaders disagree.
McElroy is one of them, and he made his case in a speech to St. Mary’s College on Oct. 13, according to the Reporter.

In June, Biden stated he supports abortions “under any circumstances.” And in April, he called abortions an “important medical service.”
