Are you having a tough time pressing previous your fears? You are not
alone.
We have actually all fought with fear eventually in our lives. With our world being as volatile as it is, we can easily find ourselves offering into it.Fear is a weapon that the opponent enjoys to utilize to deceive God’s people.Let’s take a look at what fear actually is … What is a fear?Fear is an undesirable
feeling brought on by the belief that somebody or something is harmful, most likely to trigger discomfort, or a threat.Did you capture that? Fear is triggered by a belief. When we start
to feel fear, there are a few things we can do to recognize
where it originated from and press previous what’s looking for to hold us back. How to Overcome Worries that are Holding You Back Consider what you’re thinking about … When worry starts to rise, we can generally discover the root by taking a look at what we are believing about.Years ago I remember my pastor motivating us to consider what we are thinking of. He suggested that throughout the day we need to be monitoring our ideas, due to the fact that not every idea should be permitted to take root in our minds.I need to be truthful, when I began doing this I was horrified by what I had let consume my thoughts! The enemy likes to inhabit area in our thought life. If we permit him in, he will regularly feed us lies.
Those lies can lead to fears.Let me ask you … What ideas are you enabling to consume your mind? Are you accepting every idea
that enters into your mind?In Philippians, Paul encourages us that we do not need to let our minds be filled with random ideas that come our way … that we can be deliberate with what we focus on.And now
, dear brothers and siblings, one final thing. Repair your thoughts on what holds true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think of things that are outstanding and deserving of praise. Philippians 4:8 NLT This is so motivating! Just since a thought enters into our minds, doesn’t indicate we have to accept it! We can set our
minds on the important things above and not the important things below.( Colossians 3:2)What about those worry thoughts that appear to come out of nowhere?(Yes, I’ve had those too!)The Word
is extremely clear about how to handle these fiery darts … We are damaging advanced arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] understanding of God, and we are taking every idea and function slave to the obedience of Christ,2
Corinthians 10:5 AMP We take them captive and make them loyal to Christ. What does that appearance like? The way I take my ideas captive
and make them obedient to Christ it looks like this: 1. Acknowledge where it came from 2.Rebukethe thought. 3. Make it line up with the Word. Here’s an example of a thought I had simply a couple of days ago: > > > Ideas: What if my kid vacates and can’t make it on his own? What if he needs me and I’m notthere for him?. > >
