LOS ANGELES, CA- A video was released by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and LA Police Chief Michael Moore telling illegal aliens that “their” City of LA will not cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.  The video also tells illegals what their “constitutional rights” are in regards to encountering ICE agents.

The Mayor opens the video with this:

“No matter their immigration status, I want every Angeleno to know their rights and how to exercise them.”

He goes on to tell the illegal immigrants about their first, fourth, and fifth amendment “rights.”

He continues:

“And if you need help finding any attorney, you can call 311 and learn more about our Justice Fund and other resources that offer legal support.

And whenever possible, keep a record of everything that happens. Take note of an officer’s name and badge number, of when and where you are being questions so you can use that information in your own defense.

Regardless of your immigration status, I want every Angeleno to know your city is on your side. Here in Los Angeles, our police department does not coordinate with ICE or participate in immigration enforcement.

And most importantly, I want you to know you do not need to be afraid.  Your city is on your side. And rest assured, here in Los Angeles, we are not coordinating with ICE.”

The Chief then chimes in and reiterates that the police will not be assisting or coordinating with ICE “in any way.”

He said:

“We will not enforce immigration laws that are civil in nature and that fall under the jurisdiction of the federal government.  Immigration is a federal matter. Safety is a police matter.  And we’re not going to mix those two.

Everything we do is focused on what’s best for the security and safety of all Angelenos and consistent with our commitment to constitutional policing and deepening our community partnership.”

Farther north, illegal aliens in San Francisco are getting the same comfort and assurance from their city leaders.  Mayor London Breed and SF County Sheriff Paul Miyamoto have also publicly stated they won’t be assisting ICE.

During an interview, the Sheriff said:

“Our department is not involved in immigration enforcement.  We feel that it is a federal matter, and our realm of interest is public safety, and you can’t really have a safe community if the community members are afraid to come to us to report crimes.”

Mayor Breed is equally enthusiastic about breaking federal law in order to keep people who shouldn’t be here exactly where they’re at.

She said:

“We’re being targeted on so many levels. But, the fact is we’re a strong city, we’re a resilient city and we will fight against those attacks and we will protect the people of this city.

[We will] continue to support our immigrant community and stand up for our city and we’re putting resources toward accomplishing that goal.”

What a lovely sentiment.  Mayor, you aren’t protecting the people of your city, you’re protecting the illegal aliens, including criminals, who reside illegally in your city.  You’re being targeted because you’re breaking the law, simple as that.

The DREAM Act may be in limbo and ICE raids have undocumented immigrants on edge. But today SF’s Acting Mayor London Breed made the city’s stance on immigration clear, saying, “This is one of the issues I wouldn’t mind basically going to jail for.” https://t.co/fvd9IyuDeP pic.twitter.com/uF4cH0N3MN

The Mayor’s statement proves that she takes “resources” away from actual, legal citizens and puts them into helping illegal immigrants avoid the law and deportation.

These statements and videos are being thrown out following President Trump announcing that he has authorized federal SWAT teams into areas designating themselves as “sanctuaries” for illegal aliens with the mission of making arrests of said aliens.

In my research, I came across a quote that is just so ridiculous, infuriating, and almost laughable, that I had to share it.  Angela Chan is a former police commissioner, and a criminal justice attorney at Asian Americans Advancing Justice.

She said:

“The Board of Supervisors, and even to some extent the Mayor’s Office, has been more unified in defending sanctuary because there’s this clear outside threat that is absolutely racist, anti-immigrant and engaging in white nationalism.”

It’s not racist to expect people in this country to be here legally.

It’s not anti-immigrant to insist that immigrants who come here do so legally, like the millions of others who have done so before them.

San Francisco Sheriff Paul Miyamoto sparks outrage after refusing to cooperate with ICE, in the same jurisdiction where Kate Steinle was murdered by an illegal immigrant. Chairman of the San Francisco Republican Party, John Dennis, weighs in.https://t.co/fuspUgRxrW

It’s not white nationalism to demand that ALL residents in the United States of America follow the rules and laws of our great country, regardless of ethnicity, or face the consequences.

Authorities and citizens alike are aware of pending ICE raids based on President Trump’s authorization and comments made.  Many have said they doubt they will get a warning before hand like they have in the past.

Well, I certainly hope not.
