Less than 30 minutes into the opening remarks of the Senate Judiciary Committee’s hearing with Christine Blasey Ford, Democrat Sen. Mazie Hirono of Hawaii got busted sending out fundraising emails to her supporters.
As noted by The Washington Free Beacon, Hirono wrote in the desperate email that she has been “fighting the Republicans who are desperate to rush Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination and deny a fair investigation into credible sexual misconduct allegations against him.”
Hirono serves on the Senate Judiciary Committee overseeing Thursday’s hearing, which will feature testimony from Ford and Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh. Ford alleges Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her roughly 36 years ago. Kavanaugh strongly denies the allegations.
Hirono has become one of the most extreme voices for the Left’s anti-Kavanaugh movement, recently demanding that President Donald Trump withdraw his nomination and claimed Kavanaugh’s “ideological agenda” was too conservative.
The fundraising email was so bad that even CNN reporter Kate Bennett tweeted out a screenshot of it on Thursday morning:

Here’s part of the email:
“This has to be my focus. I’m going to continue to prepare and demand a thorough investigation into these claims – and I am going to fight to make sure Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, Deborah Ramirez, and any other woman who courageously steps forward to tell her story isn’t smeared by conservatives ready to walk over these credible claims against Kavanaugh.”
“What that means is I have limited time to campaign for our re-election or to fundraise – making us particularly vulnerable to right-wing attacks. So, while I’m focused on stopping Kavanaugh’s nomination and finding the truth, I’m asking you to step up now and ensure my team in Hawaii has everything they need to win our campaign in November. Can I count on you?”
Less than an hour later, Hirono sent out another email claiming an “error” was responsible for her begging supporters for money when the hearing began.
“A fundraising message was sent this morning in error. We apologize sincerely for the error. All contributions made on this page will be donated to organizations helping survivors of sexual assault.”
The hearing has been downright awful for Ford, where her allegations have been deeply exploited for being misleading, inaccurate, and utterly ridiculous.
One of the most notable exchanges came when Ford was asked by Rachel Mitchell — an Arizona sex crimes prosecutor and expert leading the questions for Republicans — why she previously claimed she was “terrified of flying on airplanes.”
Despite her claim, Ford admitted that she has been on numerous vacations this year, all of which she took an airplane to travel to.
Below is one of the exchanges:
Dr. Ford’s testimony was delayed because of her fear of flying.
Rachel Mitchell: How did you get to Washington?
Dr. Ford: AirplaneM: When were here in August, how did you get here?
F: AirplaneM: You’ve been to Hawaii & Tahiti?
F: YesM: How’d you get there?

In another clip, Ford literally admitted that it’s easier to fly when she’s going on vacation than for her to fly to testify in Washington.

Aside from her claims and allegations being exposed badly during the hearing for not appearing to be accurate at all, Democrats are spending their time begging people for money.
Democrats will never miss an opportunity to exploit allegations to line their own pockets.
