Our Yorkshire Farm viewers have been praising the show as “a lesson to us all on how to raise children” after Amanda Owen was forced to defend her parenting techniques earlier in the month.
The show has become a staple of British TV and is adored by its viewers – and while some were sceptical, others love the way the family operates.
There are nine children – Annas, Violet, Edith, Raven, Clemmy, Nancy, Reuben, Miles, and Sidney – who all help out on the giant 2,000 acre piece of land in Upper Swaledale.

One fan took to social media to write: “What a fantastic family I’ve got so much admiration for them. Amazing how they all muck in together and the children are always happy and smiling.
“Lessons to be learned here – who needs designer clothes and the top gadgets to be happy – fair play to them.”
Another went as far as to say: “An inspirational view, empowering and educating their offspring.

“A truly great watch – it’s the best thing on TV for a long time. It’s heart warming TV and a lesson to us all on how to raise children.”
In the very first episode of the Channel 5 show, Clive said: “We have a lot to do and we have to get to the end of what we do each day but although it looks chaotic we’re very focused and aware of where we should be.
“We have a lot of things depending on us, not just children.”
Amanda had also pointed out that their kids actually want to be involved with the day-to-day running of the farm and it provides an important life lesson.
She said: “We all have to work together as a family. I really don’t feel that’s a bad lesson.
“This is what needs to happen and we all need to do it”.
